Storm Damage in Deerfield Resort?

10/4/2021 (Permalink)

Trees are blown over from a storm. We mitigate storm damage 24-hours a day in Campbell County.

When a tree falls in Deerfield Resort, does it make a sound?

When my vacation home in Norris Lake was damaged by a tree during a recent storm, I had to act fast. The tree crashed into the side of the house, damaging the roof and siding, and a window was broken. SERVPRO® of Campbell, Claiborne, Scott, and Union Counties sent a team out right away. They assessed the damage and contacted the insurance adjuster. They tarped the roof to minimize the chance of more water intrusion and boarded up the broken window. They took down the fallen tree and removed the debris and tree limbs. They repaired the damaged roof, replaced the broken window, and replaced the damaged siding. The interior damage was cleaned and restored, and the drying process was documented to ensure the area was returned to normal humidity levels. Now, you would never know that a tree had fallen on my house!

Tornado in Harrogate?

7/28/2021 (Permalink)

A tornado has touched down. We are trusted leaders in storm damage restoration services in Claiborne County.

SERVPRO® of Campbell, Claiborne, Scott, and Union Counties responds to storm damage emergencies 24-hours a day, every day. Harrogate is at moderate risk for tornadoes and on average one tornado a year. Here is some information on staying safe during a tornado from the American Red Cross:

  • Identify a safe place in your home where household members and pets will gather during a tornado: a basement, storm cellar, or an interior room on the lowest floor with no windows
  • In a high-rise building, pick a hallway in the center of the building. You may not have enough time to go to the lowest floor.
  • In a mobile home, choose a safe place in a nearby sturdy building. If your mobile home park has a designated shelter, make it your safe place. No mobile home, however it is configured, is safe in a tornado.
  • A tornado watch means a tornado is possible
  • A tornado warning means a tornado is already occurring or will occur soon. Go to your safe place immediately.
